BOTOX® Cosmetic

BOTOX® Cosmetic (Botulinum Toxin Type A) is a purified protein produced by the Clostridium botulinum bacterium, which reduces the activity of the muscles that cause those frown lines between the brows to form over time. Botox is administered through a syringe under the direction of a physician, and it is approved by the Federal Drug Administration to temporarily smooth frown lines between the brow, forehead creases, crows feet area near the eyes, and the thick bands in the neck. During treatment, a few tiny injections are made directly into the muscles releasing a chemical that causes the muscles to relax. No anesthesia is needed when injecting botox, but your doctor or nurse may choose to use a local anesthetic to numb the area being injected. When administered by an experienced physician or nurse, patients can still smile, frown, look surprised, and express all emotions after treatment. This minimally invasive treatment does not take long to administer, and you can expect to see results within days of treatment. Visible results normally last up to 4 months, but this may vary with the individual. According to the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS), the administration of botox has been the most common physician-administered aesthetic procedure in the United States for the last four years.

Juvederm™

As you age, your skin reduces production of a naturally hydrating substance called hyaluronic acid (HA). Juvederm™ injectable gel replaces the HA your skin has lost, bringing back its volume and smoothing away facial wrinkles and folds. Juvederm™ is the first injectable gel with a smooth consistency and can be used to treat forehead wrinkles, nasolabial folds, vertical lip lines, the "parentheses" around the mouth, and chin wrinkles. This is a quick, in-office procedure with no downtime. Results are immediate and can last up to 1 year! Juverderm™ injectable gel comes in two forms: Juvederm™ Ultra and Juvederm™ Ultra Plus.

Restylane®

Restylane® is the most used dermal filler in the world. It is also an HA injection that replaces lost volume to smooth wrinkles and folds, such as the lines around your nose and mouth (nasolabial folds). This is a quick, in-office procedure with no downtime. Restylane (which contains no animal proteins) is injected directly into the skin in small amounts by an ultrafine needle. Results are immediate and can last up to 6 months.

Radiesse®

Radiesse® is another FDA-approved HA injectable used to smooth facial folds and wrinkles, particularly those around your nose and mouth. Radiesse® contains microspheres made of a natural material called Calcium Hydroxylapatite suspended in a water based gel and contains no human or animal-derived components. These microspheres immediately provide facial volume for a natural look. This is a quick, in-office procedure with no downtime. Results are immediate and can last up to 1-year or more. Radiesse® also stimulates the body to produce new collagen over time.
