Financial Policies
As patients approach surgery, they frequently need information about the various payment options and have questions about their potential insurance benefits if applicable. We hope the following information will be helpful.Marcia Christopher, our financial coordinator, is readily available to meet with you personally to provide the specific information that you need. Insurance for cosmetic surgery is not available.
Payment Options
Payment for cosmetic plastic surgery is due in full 3 weeks prior to surgery. We provide a number of payment options which may be used individually or combined according to your wishes.Cash or Check: Personal Check, Cashier's check, or cash
Credit Card: Visa, Mastercard or Discover
Optional Financing Plans: Please refer to our financing options.
Insurance Coverage
The benefits paid by insurance companies vary greatly from carrier to carrier and plan to plan. Benefits are not available for cosmetic surgery, and we do not file insurance claims for cosmetic visits and cosmetic surgery. As a courtesy to you, for all procedures that are covered by your insurance company, we will file these claims for you. We have a separate department that will assist you in obtaining precertification and/or prior approval (if required by your insurance company). Please be advised that you are responsible for obtaining referrals to our practice from your primary care doctor if required.We also will verify your insurance eligibility before a procedure and we may ask you to prepay a portion of your deductible and/or co-insurance.
Cancellation Policy
We understand that a situation may arise that could force you to postpone or cancel your surgery. Please understand that such changes not only affect your surgeon, but other patients and staff as well.Should you decide to cancel your surgery after prepayment has been made, there is a non-refundable cancellation fee of $250.00. If you have any questions or need assistance with financial matters, please call our office at (770) 534-1856 and speak with our financial coordinator.
